This exquisite original 18th-century Japanese woodblock print by the renowned artist Momikawa Chōki measures 9 1/2 x 14 3/4 inches. It is characterized by notable restorations, particularly in the top left area, and features a visible horizontal crease across the center of the print. The colors exhibit age-related fading and toning, while the paper displays some light soiling and possible foxing. Edges and corners show minor wear, and black areas reflect some rubbing and surface wear. Despite these imperfections, this print is a remarkable example of Chōki's artistry, depicting Moto, the servant of the Yoshidaya, serving sake to the courtesan Yaemurasakiudayu of the Azuma Ogiya.
