Description

A Japanese woodblock print by Toyokuni III (1786-1875), also known as Kunisada, depicting a sheet from Ryogoku Bridge, part of a triptych. This artwork showcases a woman in traditional attire in an outdoor setting with rich blues and purples. The reverse side exhibits characteristics of traditional printing techniques. Dimensions are approximately 10 inches high, 15 inches wide. It has light thinning near the bottom, but the print otherwise remains vibrant. Toyokuni III was one of the most prominent artists of the ukiyo-e tradition, widely acclaimed for his depictions of kabuki actors, beautiful women, and historical subjects during the Edo period.
