This is an 1806 Draped Bust Half Cent with a grade of G, designed by Robert Scot, the first Chief Engraver of the U.S. Mint. The coin shows significant wear from circulation but retains a visible date and lettering. It exhibits heavy wear consistent with its grade, with all major design elements, lettering, and the date still visible albeit worn. The surfaces display dark toning, spotting, and areas of possible green corrosion (verdigris), particularly on the obverse. As an early American copper coin, it is inherently collectible.
